Krell的放大器一向以来都是以功率强大、控制力出色而闻名。关于这一点,我相信用过Krell功放的人都应该很清楚。而为求得到大功率,早年的Krell功放的体积都很大,而且很贵。不过,近年来Krell功放的体积相对有所缩小,而且不断往中低端市场发展,而S-300i就是其中之一。在机身的背板上,S-300i清楚地说明它的产地是中国,而设计和最后的质检则由原厂负责。这种方式的好处是能保证质量的前提条件下降低生产成本,这样一来器材的售价就会大大地降低,让更多的人消费得起。而目前这种方式也逐渐成为一种趋势,所以有很多外国的大型音响生产商都采用这种方式进行操作。
