In 1953, Dingcun people in Shanxi dredged sand and found something occasionally. In the autumn of 1954, they discovered three fossilized teeth of 12-year-old children in Dingcun village, more than 2,000 stone tools made by Dingcun people, 28 mammals, 5 fishes, and 30 mollusk fossils.
