在中国海关史上,丁贵堂算是风云人物。但他筹建新疆关、亲定沿边关所的细节,并不为人所熟知。受命西行1943年7月,民国政府财政部长孔祥熙,召见海关总税务司署副总税务司丁贵堂,谕示他做好在新疆建立海关机构的准备。7月31日,财政部以“关渝字四二五零号训令”明示:丁贵堂前往新疆筹设海关机构。
In the history of Chinese customs, Ding Guitang be regarded as a man of influence. However, it is not well-known that he has planned to build the customs in Xinjiang and to personally follow the details of border customs.
