目前,近年来,我国各地旅游业也发展飞速,人们旅游消费水平逐年提高;世界旅游组织甚至预测,2020年中国将成为世界第一大旅游目的地,并成为世界主要旅游客源国之一。中国加入世贸加速了中国经济与世界经济的融合,给旅游业的发展提供了更大的空间。旅游市场人才需求空前高涨。随着入境游、出境游的不断增加,旅游英语人才更为紧缺。人才的短缺会制约我国旅游业发展,所以培养适应社会经济发展需要的,服务于现代化涉外的旅游英语的人才,来填补旅游市场需求的空缺,旅游英语专业有着极为广阔的发展空间。
At present, in recent years, the tourism industry in various parts of China has witnessed rapid development and people’s tourism consumption level has been increasing year by year. The World Tourism Organization even predicted that by 2020 China will become the world’s largest tourist destination and become one of the major tourist source countries in the world. China’s accession to the WTO hastened the integration of China’s economy and the world economy and provided more room for the development of the tourism industry. Tourism market demand for talent is rising. With the inbound and outbound travel continues to increase, tourism English talent more scarce. The shortage of talents will restrict the development of China’s tourism industry. Therefore, to cultivate talents who meet the needs of social and economic development and serve the modern foreign-related tourism English to fill the vacancy in the tourism market, tourism English major has a vast space for development.
