2005年抗日战争胜利60周年中国工农红军长征70周年以来,,国家旅游局不仅将2005年旅游主题确定为“红色旅游年”。更为推动“红色旅游”的发展,提出了全面整合“红色旅游”资源,大力构建“红色旅游”体系,不断推出“红色旅游”精品和线路,并逐步辐射到其他“红色旅游”区(点)的发展思路。在这良好大环境下,荥经依据丰富的红色旅游资源,开发红色旅游资源,打造红色旅游品牌,对推动荥经旅游业发展具有重要意义。
