Abstract Objective To retrospectively confirm the correlation between the imaging features of quantitative CT and the mutation of epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) in lung adenocarcinoma (detecting resected lung adenocarcinoma specimens). Classification of lung adenocarcinomas is based on the classification established by the International Association of Lung Cancer (IASLC), the American Thoracic Society (ATS), and the European Respiratory Society (ERS). This study is aimed at Asian East Asian groups. It is well-known that this population has a high EGFR mutation rate. Materials and Methods The study was approved by the institutional review board to dispense with patients’ informed consent. 153 cases of resected lung adenocarcinoma specimens were collected and the presence of EGFR mutation was determined by DNA direct sequencing.
