On April 20, the simplified version of “Thematic History of the Republic of China”, co-edited and researched by 70 historians from both sides of the Taiwan Straits, was released in Nanjing. Historians from both sides of the Taiwan Strait sought assimilation, seeking common ground while reserving differences and objectively presented the historical truth to People. The publication, by the Nanjing University professor Zhang Xianwen and famous historian Zhang Yufa planning co-ordination. In 2010, the ROC History Research Center of Nanjing University organized 70 professors and scholars from 40 universities and research institutes across the Taiwan Strait (Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao) and jointly conducted the Republic of China
