忠县地处重庆市中部。是个僻居川东、山高崖远的小县。西周时属巴国,秦时属巴郡,唐贞观年间置忠州,以意怀忠信为名。忠州吹打乐的起源已无可考证。但至少,在汉代已有成熟的吹打乐。在干井口的汉墓出口文物中,有栩栩如生的击鼓俑,吹箫俑,在干井沟三国岩墓群中,除了击鼓俑,还有吹竽俑,抚琴俑。清代所编撰的《忠州志》中,已有琴谱,箫谱。在历史的演进
