应中国科学院海洋研究所的邀请,英国利物浦大学海洋系海洋化学家、英国皇家学会会员赖利教授(J.P.Riley)偕夫人于1987年10月12日至11月2日访华,并在10月23日至25日对海洋局二所参观访问。赖利教授是国际著名的海洋化学家,他主编了共8卷的世界海洋化学巨著,发表论文百余篇,特别擅长于海水中物质形式的分析研究。他此次来杭主要参观了海洋局二所的海洋化学研究室和综合技术室,并与有关科技人员进行了学术交流。
At the invitation of the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the marine chemist of the Department of Oceanology of the University of Liverpool, UK, and Associate Professor Riley of the Royal Society (JPRiley) and his wife visited China from October 12 to November 2, 1987 and in October 23 to 25 visit to the two Bureau of Oceanography. Professor Riley is internationally renowned marine chemist. He edited a total of 8 volumes of the world’s marine chemistry masterpiece, published more than 100 papers, especially good at the analysis of the material form of sea water. He came to Hangzhou to visit the Oceanographic Laboratory and the Integrated Technology Room of the two Oceanic Administrations and conducted academic exchanges with relevant scientific and technological personnel.
