For decades, the term “world science fiction” has undergone many changes. Originally, the word appeared at the “World Science Fiction Annual Meeting” held in New York City in 1939. At that time, such a name was not so much the expectation of setting up a real international platform for science fiction, it was better to assess the New Year’s science fiction world market. Although organized by the World Association for Science and Technology and is theoretically open to all, World Science Fiction is largely a U.S. phenomenon.
