Neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is due to hypoxia and asphyxia due to perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage. This disease not only causes perinatal death, but also is a common cause of neurological sequelae in the neonatal period. This article will hospital from 1995 to 1997 admitted 227 cases of neonatal asphyxia clinical data are as follows. 1 Clinical data 1.1 General information: 179 cases of asphyxia cases in this group, 48 females, male: female = 3.73: 1. Gestational age: <37 weeks in 16 cases, 37 to 42 weeks in 190 cases,> 42 weeks in 21 cases. Weight: <2500 grams in 28 cases, 2500 ~ 4000 grams in 193 cases, ≥ 4000 grams in 6 cases. 68 cases of newborns delivered in our hospital, 73 cases of newborns delivered at county and municipal hospitals, the following county
