LC4、LY12是我国目前使用最广泛的国产变形铝合金,这二种铝合金的热处理工艺已趋于定型。按标准热处理工艺处理后,LC4、LY12各种半成品的机械性能一般均能达到冶标(YB)规定的各项指标。然而,我国LC4、LY12铝合金的化学成分与美国的7075、2024铝合金是很接近的(见表1),但是它们的热处理工艺参数却相差很大。以1 mm厚的包铝薄板而言,两国的淬火工艺参数如表2所示。这样,就提出了一个新问题,即我国的LC4、LY12能否按美国工艺进行热处理?也就是说,LC 4、LY12合金
