毛泽东给中共中央党校的“实事求是”的题词,在党校教育史上有重要地位。 毛泽东这一题词是为中央党校新建大礼堂题写的。礼堂设计的重要设想之一是,两头各开一门,中间宽正面墙壁,请毛泽东题词并镶嵌在上面。1943年夏,毛泽东应彭真之请挥笔写了“实事求是”四个大字。为此,特烧制4块大方砖,把字体放大镌刻在方形砖上,镶嵌在礼堂正面墙壁上。
