过去一段时期,作为培养中等层次岗位人才的中职教育曾经历了两头挤压:一头是高职,一头是普通高中。有些人甚至认为中职在我国教育体系中无足轻重。但事实恰恰相反,在我国未来的经济发展中,社会用人部门对中职人才的渴求将十分迫切。3月2日,教育部贯彻落实全国职教会议精神经验交流会在四川泸州召开。教育部部长周济在会议讲话中提出,2005年我国中等职业教育将增加招生100万人,预计到2007年中等职业教育规模将与普通高中大体相当,协调发展。通过大力发展中等职业教育,培养数以亿计的高素质劳动者。本期刊发的有关扩大中职规模的文章,是作者接受相关采访时的回答。希望此文的发表能引起更多人对中等职业教育的关注。
In the past period, secondary education as a medium-level talent has experienced two squeezes: one is high vocational school and the other is general high school. Some even think that secondary education is insignificant in our education system. But the fact is the opposite. In the future economic development of our country, the social employment department’s thirst for secondary vocational talents will be extremely urgent. March 2, the Ministry of Education to implement the National Vocational Education Conference spirit of experience exchange was held in Luzhou, Sichuan. Minister of Education Zhou Ji said in his speech at the meeting that in 2005 China’s secondary vocational education will increase enrollment of 1 million people. It is estimated that by 2007, the scale of secondary vocational education will be roughly equivalent to that of ordinary senior high schools and be coordinated with development. By vigorously developing secondary vocational education, we will cultivate hundreds of millions of highly qualified laborers. The article published in this issue on expanding the size of secondary vocational education is the author’s response to relevant interviews. I hope this article’s publication can arouse more people’s attention to secondary vocational education.
