The International Metallurgical Society’s International Heat Treatment Conference and Exhibition - the largest of its kind - has remained a top priority for heat treatment workers in the United States since 1974. The 12th International Conference on Heat Treatment and Exhibition was held on March 13-15, 1990 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, USA. About 5,000 participants attended the conference, which featured the organization of an unprecedented Exhibitions, and arranged 22 clubs (club schedule omitted), at which 70 speakers made a technical presentation. Although the content of this meeting was not very typical, the contents of the furnace atmosphere and heat treatment management system were still of interest to the participants,
