高岭土是一种重要的造纸填料,能够有效地提高纸张的平滑度、不透明度和白度,改善油墨吸收性,在高档文化用纸的生产中应用较多。但是,高岭土在应用时也存在留着率低的问题,即在造纸过程中容易流失,使填料的应用效率大大降低。本文讨论了通过吸附作用用阳离子淀粉改性高岭土用于纸张生产,经过改性的高岭土具有新的表面特性,在成纸过程中的流失大大降低,同时,纸张的物理特性得到改善。
Kaolin is an important paper-making filler, which can effectively improve the smoothness, opacity and whiteness of paper, improve the absorbency of ink, and is widely used in the production of high-grade cultural paper. However, kaolin also has the problem of low retention when it is applied, that is, it is easy to be lost during the papermaking process, which greatly reduces the application efficiency of the filler. This paper discusses the modification of kaolin with cationic starch by adsorption for paper production. The modified kaolin has new surface properties and greatly reduces the loss during papermaking while improving the physical properties of the paper.
