昆阳磷矿为降低贫化损失,多年来,在加强质量管理,完善采矿工艺和各生产环节上,采取了一系列有效的技术措施:采矿方法的合理选择,采矿段高的合理确定,电铲的合理采装方式,KY-1型潜孔钻机的试制,爆破新工艺的研究,乳化炸药的应用,矿层原生顶板、夹层的剔除工作,大功率推土机的辅助作业,取样分析,边缘探矿及残矿回收,贫化损失计算的研究等,基本上适用于缓倾斜薄矿体露天开采,是降低贫化损失的有效途径。
