前阳镇是全国最大的边境乡镇,是丹东地区第一经济强镇。区域总面积120平方公里,辖14个行政村,人口6.3万。近年来,前阳镇党委、政府在上级指导下,一心一意谋发展,聚精会神抓建设,齐心协力促和谐。全镇紧紧围绕建设“文明、富裕、和谐、秀美”新前阳的奋斗目标,经济建设和社会发展取得显著成绩,综合实力跨入全省“百强镇”和全国“千强镇”行列,连续四次被评为省“五个好”乡镇党委标兵。
