Based on introducing the principle and method of using Track to deal with long-range dynamic GPS data, this paper proposes a new epoch-seeking method to detect earthquakes and aftershocks of earthquake, based on GPS data processing of seismic monitoring. The new method first passes Track solution to calculate more accurate coordinates in the adjacent epoch difference between the calculated and calculated limits to determine whether the occurrence of earthquakes. Based on the GPS data from St. Simon in the United States, the precision of long-range dynamic GPS data processing is analyzed and the effects of epoch-seeking method to detect main and aftershocks are analyzed and compared. The results show that this method can effectively detect main shock and Related aftershocks occurred time.
