1977—1980年我所用红咀燕与杭州青皮豇杂交,经七代选择,育成鲜荚用的品种“之豇28—2”。1981年在省内主要市县大面积推广。1982年在全国26个省、市、自治区96个单位区试,724个单位进行1.6万余亩生产示范,1983年全国已有7万余亩的示范推广,1984年全国栽培面积已达十万亩以上,是目前产量高、品质佳、适应性广的优良豇豆品种。一、品种特征该品种为蔓生型,株高250—300厘米,属早熟种,生育期一般为70—110日,主蔓第4—5节开始结荚,七节以上各节均有花果,果荚粗长且多,一般长60—75厘米,
