李宗仁先生偕夫人郭德洁将于1965年7月12日乘坐瑞士航空公司的道格拉斯客机,由苏黎世起飞,经由雅典、贝鲁特、卡拉奇到香港转道回国。考虑到美国的情报部门和国民党特务机构可能会从中阻挠破坏,周恩来专门指示在卡拉奇机场由丁国钰负责将李宗仁一行接回大使馆,并在适当时机亲自安排护送他们直接回国。这就引出丁国钰秘密护送李宗仁一行安全回国的曲折故事……
Mr. Li Tsung-jen and his wife, Guo De-jie, will take the flight of Swissair Douglas on July 12, 1965, take off from Zurich, and turn back to Hong Kong via Athens, Beirut and Karachi. Given that U.S. intelligence agencies and the Kuomintang spy agencies may be deterring damage, Premier Zhou Enlai instructed Ding Yu-yuk at Karachi Airport to take Li Zong-ren and his entourage back to the embassy and personally escort them for direct return to China at the appropriate time.
