云南有《印象云南》、甘肃有《大梦敦煌》、广西有《八桂大歌》,这些具有浓郁地方色彩的歌舞艺术作品,都已经成为了各省的文化名片。2007年,宁夏倾力打造的大型历史舞剧《月上贺兰》,以民族舞为主体,渗入了现代舞、芭蕾舞等多种元素,以其象征性、艺术化的手段与形式,反映了伊斯兰文明与中华文明交融繁衍、和谐发展以及回族在宁夏诞生的历史过程,受到了广大群众的喜爱和专家的好评。该剧已被列入宁夏回族自治区文化精品工程和宁夏回族自治区成立50周年大庆献礼剧目,除在银川、北京等地陆续演出外,还将作为国家对外文化交流的重点剧目出国巡演。
