Objective To understand the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease among medical outpatients in Zhejiang Province and to analyze the risk factors associated with it. Methods Epidemiological survey using the whole random sampling, reflex disease questionnaire (reflex diagnostic questionnaire.RDQ) survey methods, and using a variety of statistical methods for statistical analysis. Results The prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease in Zhejiang outpatient population was 7.28%. The 95% confidence interval was 6.87% -7.69%. The prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease among different genders, ages, manual labor intensity and marital status was significantly different (P <0.05). Eating too much, often drink acidic drinks, eat spicy foods, greasy food, often drink tea, often into the sweets, smoking, drinking, constipation, gastroesophageal reflux disease prevalence was significantly increased, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.01). Univariate Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, age, manual labor intensity, night shift and marital status were the risk factors of gastroesophageal reflux disease. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age, night shift, manual labor intensity, marital status , Eating too much, often eat greasy food, often drink tea, often into the sweets, constipation may be a risk factor. Conclusion The questionnaire is a simple and effective method to diagnose gastroesophageal reflux disease clinically. Gastroesophageal reflux disease has many risk factors, the clinical need to be highly valued.
