美新自由贸易协定是美国与亚洲国家缔结的第一个自由贸易协定,该协定的签订对于美国和新加坡双方都具有重要的战略意义。现在,我们重新审视这一协定的签订动机,对于我们更好的理解美国为何选择新加坡作为其在亚洲缔结自由贸易协定的战略意图和其中的中国因素都有着十分重要的现实意义。本文从双方协定签订的背景出发,从美国和新加坡两个方面分析双方签订自由贸易协定的政治经济动机。
The U.S.-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement is the first free trade agreement between the United States and Asian countries. The signing of the agreement is of strategic importance to both the United States and Singapore. Now, we are re-examining the signing motive of this agreement. It is of great significance to us to better understand why the United States chose Singapore as its strategic intent and its China factor in concluding a free trade agreement in Asia. This article, starting from the background of the signing of the agreement, analyzes the political and economic motives of signing free trade agreements between the two sides from the United States and Singapore.
