中国的新文艺跟中国的革命斗争一直是紧密结合着的,改进中的中国传统戏曲、地方戏和约有半世纪历史的话剧,约有三十年历史的新歌剧都曾在祖国人民反帝、反封建、反官僚资本主义的民主斗争中起过作用,于今又在努力为祖国社会主义革命和社会主义建设做出贡献。但是文艺常常落后于现实。祖国的工农业生产和其他建设事业正以社会主义速度飞跃前进的今天,我们的工作还远不能跟它相适应。解放后
