北洋水师在与日本联合舰队的海战中传承爱国精神,以团队名义弘扬中华民族之魂,广大爱国官兵以爱国之志,报国之情,效国之行,充分进发出他们所具有的“先天下之忧而忧”的尽忠报国之志、“天下兴亡,匹夫有责”的民族责任感、“杀身成仁,舍生取义”的高风亮节、“勇于拼搏,不怕牺牲”的战斗精神。本文通过发掘近代历史档案、时人论著和地方志中有关甲午海战中北洋将士的英勇壮举的记述,阐述了北洋水师正是以弘扬民族之魂为己任,才能够不畏牺牲,抵御强敌。
