导言本文以笔者最近两次中国之行所搜集的有效材料为基础写成。简短的个案研究是在北京、武汉、苏州、南京、杭州和西安这6个大城市进行的。对幼儿园上课情况的观察和深入采访,是在一些幼儿园园长和一个或更多老师的陪同下进行的。尽管这些幼儿园在许多方面是一样的,但在招生人数、幼儿的年龄界线与家庭背景,公办还是民办等方面都有不同。我在这些城市中采访了10位家长或未来的家长,请他们就独生子女家庭和幼儿园在社会化过程中的作用发表看法。
Introduction This article is based on the author’s collection of valid materials from the last two trips in China. A brief case study was conducted in six major cities in Beijing, Wuhan, Suzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Xi’an. Observations and in-depth interviews with kindergarten classes were conducted by some kindergarten heads and one or more teachers. Although these kindergartens are the same in many ways, they differ in terms of enrollment, young children’s age boundaries and family backgrounds, whether public or private. I interviewed 10 parents or future parents in these cities and asked them to share their views on the role of only-child families and kindergartens in the process of socialization.
