地球物理學(Geophysics)爲研究地球海陸空三界物理現象及其應用之科學,國内工作人員爲謀斯學之進步及普及起見,於三十六年之春發起組織中國地球物理學會(The Chinese Geophysical Soc ety),推定籌備委員進行籌備,於同年八月正式成立,並呈准政府立案。本會目標在進行有關地球形狀及物理諸問題之研究,成立以後,即確定研究對象之分科如下:
Geophysics In order to study the physical phenomenon of terrestrial, sea, air and space, and the science of its application, the domestic staff initiated the organization of the China Geophysical Society (The Chinese Geophysical Soc ety), presuming the preparatory committee members to carry out preparatory work, was formally established in August of the same year, and was allowed to file a case with the government. The objectives of this Council are to conduct research on various issues concerning the shape and physics of the Earth. After its establishment, the sub-sections of the research object are as follows:
