水资源时空分布不均一直困扰着我国。2002年,为缓解北方地区干旱缺水的状况,南水北调工程开工建设,一举创下多项纪录:世界上施工规模最大、供水规模最大、距离最长、受益人口最多……2012年,南水北调中线工程建设进入冲刺阶段,河南段是南水北调中线工程建设的主战场。南水北调中线一期工程将于2013年底实现主体工程完工,2014年汛后,丹江口水库的清水将源源不断输向北方地区。
