清代光绪年间,宫中经常演戏。有一次,陈德霖(当时是昇平署民籍学生)演唱《玉堂春》。当戏中的崇公道把苏三解到都察院时,苏三见到都察院威武森严、杀气腾腾,不寒而栗,有几句唱词是:苏三:来在都察院,学目往上观,两旁的刀斧手,吓得我胆战心又寒。苏三此去好有一比,……崇公道:比做何来?苏三原来的戏词应该是(接唱)“羊入虎口,有去无还”。但这时陈德霖临时把‘羊入虎口”一句改成“鱼儿落网”,有去无还。为什么要改呢?因为陈先生考虑到慈禧是己未年生人,属羊的,怕慈禧忌讳,获犯上之罪纔改的。此后这句词就流传下来,直到现在有的演员还沿用着。
