三峡工程茅坪溪土石坝最大坝高104m,坝轴线长1062m,防渗墙轴线总长1840m,其中沥青混凝土心墙总长880m,最大高度94m,采用碾压施工方法。沥青混凝土心墙的厚度由下而上渐变,即由1.2 m 变至0.5 m。心墙选用新疆克拉玛依石化厂水工沥青;矿料选用距工地25km 的王家坪料场的石灰岩,现场加工为20~100mm、10~5mm、5~2.5 mm 三级料,细料用人工砂或天然沙。施工机械化程度很高,施工流程比较复杂。在施工中进行了定额测定分析,发现在施工各道工序中,沥青混凝土损耗量在16%以上。
