Q: Chopin’s “Nocturne” is very famous and often recorded as a record. What happened to you during the recording of this new album? Maria PIRIS: It’s not too hard for me. I just try to follow the music, and use my best ability to understand. I am not worried about comparison. They are very popular works, because they are very beautiful and everyone can understand them. The difficulty in playing is that they can be as sweet as sweetener. Its voice is so concise, romantic and soft that it is easy to just play on the surface. However, the harmony of the structure is very complicated, really genius. They are all fantasy handwriting. Q: Do these observations refer to all Chopin’s works or to “nocturne?” Maria Piris: Especially the “Nocturne”. Of course, all of Chopin’s works are fantastic creations, but many of his other works, like sonatas or preludes, do not have the same concise appearance. They are more complicated, the song which you have a special favorite? Maria? Pierce: I like it. My mood was horrible when I finished my first song. I said to myself, “Ok, it’s finally over!” But you can always find something new from each of them. They are all difficult because they are so strong in character. I especially like C minor No. 13.
