1989年4月25—29日,国家统计局在北京召开了全国统计工作会议.这次会议是在举国上下深入贯彻党的十三届三中全会精神,传达和贯彻七届全国人大二次会议决议的新形势下召开的.会议的主要内容是:根据治理整顿和深化改革的方针、李鹏总理在七届全国人大二次会议上提出的关于“要加强统计工作和发挥统计监督的作用”的指示精神,研究切实提高统计数据质量,强化统计监督职能,加快统计制度方法改革,提高统计服务水平等问题.会上,表彰了十年来在统计改革和统计建设中作出了突出贡献的先进单位,先进集体和先进工作者,会议由国家统计局局长张塞主持,郑家亨、于广沛、邵宗明、孙兢新四位副局长都出席了会议.参加会议的还有各省、自治区、直辖市统计局局长及计划单列市统计局长,国务院各部门的统计负责人及其他有关方面的代表共200人.
