熔炼硅锰合金时其炉渣的化学成分对合金质量、操作的电气制度和各项技术经济指标影响极大。在其他条件相同的条件下,炉渣成分取决于锰精矿中的脉石、焦炭灰分和熔剂的成分。因为各厂所用原料质量不同,所以其炉渣成分亦应有差异。扎波洛什铁合金厂在容量为14500KVA 固定开口式电炉中生产硅锰合金一直采用白云石作熔剂。所用原料是由恰图拉一级锰精矿和尼科波尔一级原精矿组成的混合矿(其比为1:3.3)烧结矿并配加白云石。从1960年3月起,就改用尼科波尔一和二级混合
