过去,我常听出国归来的朋友谈起,西方有些城市的鸽子不怕人。它们不但可以在你身边走来走去,甚至可以飞到你的手掌上来啄食。对于这种说法,我总有点将信将疑。前不久,我去西柏林访问,亲眼看到了这个情景。那里的鸽子到处飞翔停栖,即使在最繁华的街道上,它们也大模大样、旁若无人地在人行道上行走或在草坪上戏耍。当人们在街亭上进食时,鸽子飞来了,它们毫无顾忌地在人们的身边寻找落下的面包屑,就象我们家养的母鸡那样。人们不但友善地对待它们,有时还分点面包给它们吃。我发现那里的孩子对这些小动物非常爱护,他们似乎从小养成了习惯,不去驱赶鸽子,更不会用弹子或气枪去伤害鸽子。有一次,我看到一位小孩拿着食物在喂鸽子。鸽子成群地飞到他的面前,有的停在他的手上,有的停在他的肩上,甚至还停到他的头上。孩子对此毫不介意,反而笑
In the past, I often heard friends coming back to China to talk about the pigeons in some western cities not afraid of people. Not only can they walk around you, they can even fly to your palm for pecking. I am always skeptical of this statement. Not long ago, I went to visit West Berlin, witnessed this scene. The pigeons there fly and rest, and even in the most bustling streets, they are large and large, walked uninhabited on the sidewalk or played on the lawn. The pigeons flew when people were eating on the street kiosks, looking for falling breadcrumbs around people, like our domestic hen.
