【名词解释】碳中和(Carbon Offset):现代人为减缓全球变暖所作的努力之一。大部分舆论认为,全球变暖的罪魁祸首是二氧化碳的排放,低碳生活已经成为社会潮流,而碳中和是目前最有效也最高尚的方式:人们计算自己日常活动直接或间接制造的二氧化碳排放量,并计算抵消这些二氧化碳所需的经济成本,然后付费给专门的企业或机构,或亲身参与或通过第三方植树或其他环保项目抵消大气中相应的二氧化碳量。

People calculate the carbon dioxide emissions directly or indirectly generated by their daily activities And calculate the economic costs of offsetting these carbon dioxide, then pay to specialized companies or institutions, or in person or through third party tree planting or other environmental projects to offset the corresponding amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
