当钻孔穿过层状岩(矿)层时,如果钻孔轴线和岩(矿)层不正交,也不平行,则岩(矿)层的层面和层理面在岩芯柱上呈一椭圆面或椭圆迹圈(图1).经研究发现,该椭圆长轴的方位是钻孔倾斜方位角φ_钻、倾角θ_钻以及岩(矿)层倾向方位角φ_岩、倾角θ_岩的函数.由此函数关系出发,进一步求出此椭圆长轴与钻孔轴线确定的平面和通过钻孔轴线的铅垂平面的夹角γ,就可以在岩芯横截面上画出钻孔的倾斜方位线,从而恢复了岩芯的原始方位,达到利用钻孔岩芯作为定向标本来测定剩磁参数的目的.
