非职业性砷中毒是由于口服含砷的药物或农药,食用砷剂处理过的蔬菜和水果,或居住在熔炼厂周围长期吸入受砷污染的空气所致,但因工业废渣污染水体,由饮用水引起砷中毒报导尚属少见。某磷肥厂周围的居民,曾两次因饮用含砷废渣废水污染的河水而引起砷中毒,两次中毒均发生在冬季,其原因、情况及临床症状基本相同,为从中吸取教训,现将资料比较完整的一次报告如下:
