大蒜被称作“健康保护神”。研究还表明,大蒜的营养价值高于人参,应列为保健品之首。大蒜含有400多种有益身体健康的物质。人类的很多疾病都是因为血液中脂肪水平过高引起的。许多日常食物,像鸡蛋、奶酪等,吃了之后就会使血液中的脂肪成倍上升。但是如果同时吃蒜,脂肪上升的趋势就会受到遏制。大蒜还具有预防和降低动脉脂肪斑块聚积的作用,同时对降低高血压也有一定作用。多吃大蒜的人患直肠癌的几率也非常低。
