油桃又名李光桃,其果面光滑无毛,外观艳丽夺目,食用方便,营养丰富,具有桃、杏、李的综合芳香,为果中珍品,市场价位高,倍受消费者欢迎。九十年代初期,云南林科院先后从国内外引进油桃优良品种30余个。经多年测产试种,以及对适应性、丰产性和果实品质等观测鉴别,初步筛选出曙光、艳光、早红珠、新泽西州74、早红宝石等5个极早熟油桃品种,适应云南海拔1500米至2000米广大山区半山区种植。以曙光为例,该品种树势中等,树姿较开张,枝条芽力和成枝均较
