沿江开发战略是我省推动区域共同发展,实现“两个率先”的重要举措,是提升苏南发展水平、促进苏中快速崛起、激发苏北后发优势的现实途径。联动开发又是沿江开发战略的重要内容构成和真正意义所在,因为沿江开发一个重要目的就是将苏南的经济辐射力跨过长江,传递到苏中、苏北地区,并将苏中尽快融入苏南经济板块,构筑“以南带北、南北共建共兴”的新发展模式,使江苏经济在新的发展平台和更高的起点上迅速腾飞。一、我省沿江联动开发现状及存在的主要问题随着区域经济一体化进程的不断加快,沿江联动开发的重要性日益明显。由于交通等自然条件的限制及其他主客观因素的影响,我省沿江联动开发起步较晚,进展也比较慢,目前只有无锡的江阴市和泰州的靖江市真正开始启动了两岸的联动开发,而整个苏中地区融入苏南和上海经
