江边春暖百花娇,漫舞高歌頌舜尧, 诗画文章皆跃进,英才輩出胜前朝! 这是中共湖北省委第一书記王任重同志为“湖北省十年建設展覽会”写的八首七絕之一。这首詩俯瞰了十年来湖北省文学艺术的成就,又对文艺工作者作了热情的鼓舞。正如詩中所写,这里的戏剧界和全国戏剧界一样,十年来有了翻天复地的变化和巨大的成就,今天真是春暖花娇,英才輦出。如果回顾一下的話,解放前湖北省只有四、五十个疲癃残疾的戏班子,队伍还不到两千人;解放十年来,已有了127个专业剧团,7000多名戏剧工作者;还有三万个农村俱乐部和业余剧团。武汉市解放前只有四个剧种11个剧团,根本沒
