一现行中师文选教材的一个显著特点就是突出了单元教学。一至四册以记叙文、说明文、议论文,应用文为标准分为若干单元,五六册以文学史为经线以文体为纬线分为若干单元,而七八册则是以文学体裁为标准划分单元的。这样编排,克服了过去单篇教学中存在的知识零散以及教学目的模糊的弊病,注重了知识的系统性。这种知识的系统性主要表现在把一个完整的知识体系化为若干知识点分散在各单元、各篇章之中。例如一至四册共编入议论
A striking feature of the current textbook for middle school majors is the emphasis on unit teaching. One to four volumes are divided into several modules using narrative, explanatory, argumentative, and applied language as criteria. Fifty-six volumes are based on literary history as warp threads and are divided into several units by style. Latitudes and seasons are divided into literary genres as criteria . This arrangement overcomes the shortcoming of past fragmented knowledge and ambiguous teaching purpose in individual teaching, and emphasizes the systematicness of knowledge. The systematicness of this kind of knowledge mainly manifests itself in dividing a whole system of knowledge into several points of knowledge scattered in each unit and each chapter.
