近日有一则考古新闻颇为有趣:在陕西千阳县一处秦汉时代的皇帝行宫建筑遗址,考古人员在宫殿残存的夯土基址中发掘出一口三米多深的陶井,据推断,这口陶井并非普通的水井,而是一处“冰井”。陶井由若干个陶质井圈叠压在一起形成,每个陶井圈直径1.1米,高则为0.33米。它嵌在宫殿的台基当中,底部还设有一条排水管,通往河谷低洼处。考古学家推断,根据当地的水文情况,深度3米多的井筒不足以到达地下水源,况且井筒是安置在宫殿之内,因此,他们认为,这一陶井乃是古代文献中常提到的冰井。所谓冰井,就是古代储藏冰块
