四川省内江机床厂有160立方米砂型烘干炉三台、15.3平方米退火炉二台。原系手工加煤,机械通风,劳动条件差,煤耗大,烟囱冒黑烟,对厂区、市区居民身心健康都有危害,居民意见很大,工厂只好改烧焦炭。烧焦炭虽然不冒黑烟,达到了环保要求,但铸件燃料成本成倍增加(由原来17.6元/屯猛增到60.4元/吨)。省机械厅系统类似这样的砂型烘干炉及退火炉近300台。为了探讨怎样改造燃煤工业炉,1982年5月,省机械厅环保部门要求我院与内江机床厂共同对该厂160立方米砂型烘干炉及15.3平方米退火炉进行以煤为燃料的技术改造课题研究,在满足生产工艺要求的前提下,达到消烟除尘、节约能源和减轻工人劳动强度的目的。
