登苏州虎丘,聆听神奇的传说,踏勘遍山的古迹,观赏旖旎的风光,也许你还不知虎丘另一个好去处——后山。明朝中叶,市民游虎丘山,多数从山塘街半塘坐船到后山。笔者于五、六十年代去过那里,看到的景色真是美极了,至今还记忆犹新。那时的后山,绕山河中,点点风帆,徐徐移动于河面;河对岸绿色田野,连绵一片;遇上晴朗天气,可清晰地看到常熟的十里虞山和昆山的玉山。后山环山河畔,这里原是元代张士诚所筑的“虎丘城墙”。经过多年的战争,张士诚惨败于朱元璋。如今虎丘古城早已荡然无存,可在这块古土上漫步,总使人想起那段战乱不断的史实。在后山广阔的山坡上,原有着许多建筑,以大殿高堂为例,就有近30座。古时这里游人济济,煞为热闹。清咸丰年间,太平军攻人苏州时毁于战火,以至较长时
