襄城县位于河南省中部,东与许昌县、临颖县交界,西与郏县、平顶山市为邻,南与叶县、舞阳县接壤,北与禹州市毗连,面积八百九十七平方公里,人口约七十万。公元前六三六年,周襄王避叔带之乱居此,后人筑城,取名襄城。秦置襄城县,王莽时改为相城,东汉初复置襄城至今。襄城方言属中原官话郑曹片,内部差异不大。本文记录襄城县山头店乡(距县府五公里左右)一带的方言。发音人是作者本人。记音用的是中国社会科学院语言研究所《方言调查字表》。本文分两节:(壹)襄城方言声韵调。(贰)襄城方言变调和儿化。附列襄城方言单字音表。
Xiangcheng County is located in the central part of Henan Province, east and Xuchang County, Linying County at the junction of West and Juxian County, Pingdingshan adjacent to the South and Ye County, Wuyang bordering the north and Yuzhou adjoining area of ?? 87 Sq km, a population of about 700,000.
