本文对光纤陀螺中双折射调制噪声的性质进行了研究.在采用高双折射光纤的陀螺系统中,实验观察发现,双折射调制噪声对系统长期性能影响很大,特别在光纤环中偏振方位控制不理想的情况下,将使系统的长期零漂增大.此外,在信号检测频率处,发现双折射调制产生的噪声与Sagnac信号有确定的π/2相位差.本文建立在Jones表述基础上的理论分析,为解释和消除此噪声对系统性能的影响提供了依据,给出了与实验完全一致的结果.最后,根据这些结果,对消除双折射调制噪声对系统性能影响的方法进行了讨论.
In this paper, the properties of birefringence modulation noise in fiber optic gyroscope are studied.In the gyroscope system with high birefringence fiber, experimental observations show that the birefringence modulation noise has a great influence on the long-term performance of the system, especially in the polarization control In the case of less than ideal, the long-term zero-drift of the system will be increased.In addition, it is found that there is a definite π / 2 phase difference between the birefringence modulation and the Sagnac signal at the signal detection frequency.Based on the Jones statement Theoretical analysis provides the basis for explaining and eliminating the influence of this noise on the system performance and gives exactly the same results with the experiment.Finally, based on these results, the method to eliminate the influence of birefringence modulation noise on the system performance is discussed .
