金山卫位于上海市的南翼、杭州湾的北岸,距市区约70km,是1986年上海市总体规划确定的城市重点发展区之一。1992年11月《上海市总体规划修改方案纲要》中,又明确将金山卫——星火地区作为上海城市布局结构3个重点发展轴之一,由上海石化总厂、金山嘴港区、漕泾工业区,星火开发区组成带型组团式城市。本规划的金山卫城市是指带型城市的西段,东西长约20余km,包括上海石化总厂和金山嘴港区二大部份,是杭州湾北岸带型城市的主体。
Jinshanwei is located in the southern wing of Shanghai City and the northern bank of Hangzhou Bay, about 70km away from the urban area. It is one of the key urban development areas identified by the Shanghai Master Plan in 1986. In November 1992, the “Outline of the Shanghai General Plan Revision Plan” clearly defined the Jinshanwei-Xinghuo area as one of the three key development axes of Shanghai’s urban distribution structure, from the Shanghai Petrochemical Plant, the Jinshanzui Port Area, and Handan Industry. District and Spark Development Zone form a clustered city. The planned Jinshanweicheng city refers to the western section of a belt-type city, with a length of about 20km from east to west, including the two major parts of Shanghai Petrochemical Plant and Jinshanzui Port Area, and is the main body of the north-strait-type city of Hangzhou Bay.
