Cameras were introduced late in Tibet. At the beginning of the last century, some big aristocrats had only cameras made of wood, but they were only regarded as “gadgets”. Therefore, most of the images and materials left behind during that era were taken by foreigners. Earlier we heard about the first photographer in Tibet: Living Buddha Taksim Lausanne Erbilodon increased measures, but never seen his works. We are fortunate enough to come in contact with more than 300 pictures of the living Buddha and elect more than a dozen of them. Through the eyes of the living Buddha, a series of major events and figures in Tibet’s history have been reproduced: the Great Earthquake and the restoration of the Joghafo Temple and the Jokhang Temple in Demu Temple; the rejuvenating living Buddha of the Regent V of the Gaxam Local Government in Old Tibet; Ordinary people’s daily life.
